Testimonials
This phytochemistry class with Lisa Ganora is a must. It will take your medicine making and herbal recommendations to a new level. Lisa is a dynamic instructor. She makes chemistry fun, to the point that you may even feel compelled to go out and get a molecular modeling kit. You will see the chemical intelligence of plants and herbs that you’ve known for years in an entirely different light. - Natasha Leger, herbalist, attorney, author
Not having a background in chemistry I have struggled learning the language and often given up reading books and finishing courses in despair! I am an aromatics distiller and consultant and focused on an experiential and sensory hands on approach. Lisa courses enable me to take a more holistic view of the plant. I love her humour, her genius and her wonderful way of bringing all that complicated chemistry back to the heart of the matter which is the magic and all that is still unknown - the sentient plant. Her course material is detailed - I have it all printed out, indexed and filed. It's my go to for factual information of plant constituents - gold! - Jill Mulvaney, www.thealembicslab.com
My last foray into chemistry, prior to taking the Herbal Constituents Course I & II, was more than 40 years ago. Mind you, the class was immediately before lunch and the teacher was duller than a butter knife. Needless to say, not much of the information presented was retained. Regardless, and with lots of trepidation, I opted to take the Herbal Constituents course to further my understanding of the constituents of plants and how it all goes together. Lisa and her team’s clear, concise and fun explanations of the chemistry and the phytochemicals was extremely helpful to better understand the magic of plants. Being able to decode and understand scientific words, that seem to be three inches long, was, and is, a real bonus! I highly recommend this course!! - Mary B.
Lisa brings the plant's astonishing array of phytochemical mysteries to life in a way that makes the complex understandable and straightforward, and makes you lean into learning even more outside the class! The weekly live online classes, assignments, and feedback, along with excellent course materials, were essential for me. It kept me focused and on track. - Anna Gilliland, New Zealand
